Seaglass for guitar quartet (2022)

Seaglass for guitar quartet was commissioned in 2022 by Lazaretto Guitar Quartet, based in Stuart, Florida. The work was composed in December 2022.  The title of the composition was meant to invoke the colorful and delicate pieces of glass smoothed and frosted by the ocean over decades and centuries, turned by nature into beautiful gems.

Performance notes:

All grace notes and grace-note figures are to be played before the beat.

When a rhythmic beaming appears to contradict the meter, consider it to be a borrowing from the meter in which such beaming would be typical.  Group and place rhythmic accents according to the beaming used.
